Around 9 months ago my friend Amber asked me to go to lunch. We sat down at the Oak Street Bistro, and all she said was "So, I have something to tell you." I immediately replied, "Oh my gosh you're pregnant." And then we both started laughing and crying... a lot. I am sure everyone in the place was looking at us, two girls sitting across from one another hand in hand laughing hysterically, and crying like babies.

Amber decided very early on that she wanted to wait until "the moment" at birth to find out what Baby Richards was. I LOVED this idea and referred to the baby most of the time as "he." You see, Amber and Tabie have two precious little girls, so I was certain it was their time for a little boy.

I arrived to the hospital the morning of the 21st of May to meet Baby Richards. The wait included a lot of laughs and silly moments, as it is rare that any of us are too serious when we're all together.

Ella and Emry came to visit with their Mommy and Daddy before they headed off into the waiting room to find out if they were going to have a baby brother or baby sister. Their shirts were so precious. They read, "He or She, what will it be? Mommy's expecting #3."

When it was time for Amber to begin pushing, I could hardly stand the anticipation. Amber's husband, her mom, and her sister all stayed in the room to have the first glance at Baby Richards. You may remember Nicole from Maci's Birth Story. I am not exaggerating when I say that Nicole faints when she cuts her finger (that is a true story), so we were all taking bets on how long it would be before she fainted. I was so proud of her when I saw her watching the birth! She did great.

It was finally time to know if Baby Richards was a he or she! This was a beautiful moment to witness and it was truthfully a little difficult for me to not put my camera down and run over and see for myself.

It was a GIRL! Another girl :) Tabie's reaction was hilarious. I mean, what else can you do but laugh when you find out that you are yet again out numbered. Just for the record, even their dog is a girl. That's 5 to 1.

I will never forget this moment. With tears rolling down my face one second, and laughing the next, I watched on as my closest friends celebrated their newest arrival. Little Enli Quinn weighed 6lbs 11oz and was 19 and 1/4 inches long. Amber is the only mom I have ever seen cut her own cord, so of course I had to capture that as well.

It was time for the girls to come in and meet their little sister. They had the awesome job of announcing to the rest of the family what the gender of their new sibling was. I followed them into the lobby carrying their balloons that read, "It's a girl!"

Do you remember Coy's Birth Story? He came by to meet his friend Enli as well!

I stopped by the Richards house the next week to photograph their in-home Newborn Session. The girls are pretty proud of their new sister!

Amber and Tabie- Thank you so much for allowing me to be a part of this day with you guys. I love you and your little family, and it was my honor to document this time in your lives!
